Symbolic Memory Without Storage

Large Language Models (LLMs), unlike biological brains, do not possess memory in any conventional, neurological, or even computationally archival sense. There are no synapses or long-term weights that retain specific episodes of past interaction; no mechanisms exist that resemble a brain's capacity for autobiographical recall [1884].
